It took Long a short 7.69 seconds officially, although I timed it at 7.94 seconds!This SHATTERS the previous record held by ex-Tottenham star King of 9.82 seconds for a goal he scored against Bradford in December 2000.However, it wasn’t enough for Saints to win the game as Andre Gray’s 90th-minute strike meant the two sides shared the spoils, putting Southampton six points clear of the relegation zone.Below you can see a video of Long’s goal.
