Virgil van Dijk was delighted Joe Gomez has extended his stay at Anfield, calling his new contract ‘well deserved’.Liverpool announced the 21-year-old defender had penned a new five-year deal on Monday morning, giving fans an early Christmas present, with the player saying it meant the world to him.
