Manchester City plotting January move for Leeds United wonderkid Jack Clarke
Manchester City are considering a January move for Leeds United teen sensation Jack Clarke, according to reports.Pep Guardiola is said to have been monitoring the 18-year-old wingers progress at Elland Road since he signed his first professional deal just 13 months ago.3

And it appears the Spanish boss has liked what hes seen.According to The Sun, the Premier League champions are ready to make their move when the transfer window opens in January.Guardiola has received glowing reports from City scouts, who watched Clarke in action in Saturdays 1-0 victory over Sheffield United.3

The teen star changed the game for Leeds when he entered the field as a second-half substitute, providing the assist for Pablo Hernandezs winning goal with just eight minutes to play.Man City are said to be leading the chase for the starlet, but Spanish forward Hernandez hopes Clarke will stay to help Leeds in their quest to return to the Premier League after a 14-year absence.3

The veteran Spanish wide-man said: “Jack has a lot of quality, and I think he can be a big player in the future forLeeds United.“You look at him and it’s obvious to see that he gives us different things on the pitch on both wings.“He can have more opportunities this season to give us a lot of things, and I think he is a young player who is important for us.“He is one of the young players who bring some positive things in the team.”

Who is Jack Clarke?

Jack Clarke, 18, plays as a winger for Leeds United.He was born in York and came through the Whites’ academy.After interest from City at the end of last year, Clarke signed his first professional contract with Leeds in November 2017.He was first called up to Leeds’ first team in January this year and made his debut in October, coming on as a sub in the 1-1 draw against Brentford.He has made five appearances this season, claiming one assist.Manager Marcelo Bielsa has revived the Whites since his appointment in the summer and they currently sit second in the Championship table.And the Leeds chief also wants Clarke to stay at Elland Road: “Jack did some very good work at Sheffield, but every time he plays he makes the difference.“And he can only learn from watching Pablo and playing alongside him.”
