Tottenham will NOT signGiuseppe Rossi this month, the Premier League club’s manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.Rossi, the former Italy international, was linked with a shock move to north London earlier this week, with reports in Italy saying Spurs had approached the 31-year-old over a pay-as-you-play deal.The striker is currently a free agent and is training with former side Manchester United as he searches for a new club.1

The alleged offer for Rossi was made in the wake of Harry Kane being ruled out through injury until early March, leaving Pochettino with just a single senior attacker, Fernando Llorente, to choose from.Kane is joined on the treatment table by Lucas Moura, while the pair’s fellow attacker Heung-Min Son is currently representing his country at the Asian Cup.Rumours suggest Spurs will delve into the transfer market to replace Kane, possibly on a short-term basis, but Rossi is NOT one of the club’s targets.“There are many names that appear in every transfer window,” Pochettino said in a press conference on Friday. “He (Rossi) is another name to add to the list. “It is a rumour and we are not considering him.
